I came across this Reddit post and also found a related bug report, but the issue persists for me. It might be a problem on Krita's side, but I'm not entirely certain.
This problem primarily affects mouse zooming and panning. While some keybindings seem to work, only specific ones like Ctrl + or Ctrl - allow the mouse to function normally again.
I've noticed that swapping tools can sometimes regain mouse control, but it requires switching between two unique tools beforehand, such as going from 'brush' to 'gradient' to 'bucket'. Alternatively, simply selecting a tool with the mouse instead of using a keybinding can also restore mouse functionality.
As a temporary workaround, I've been using the 'super + space' shortcut to "refocus" the Krita window whenever the issue occurs.
