I've been trying to install the plugin today and every time it seems to end up in brutefir not starting.

Following the install guide in the readme when installing the plugin there seems to be a file doesn't exist.

No problems. The message mean 'no previous install to remove, noting to do'
But why do you use volumio2 and this plugin? No more dev or support.
Go for Volumio 3 and FusionDsp

Ah didn't know there's a new thing I'm supposed to be using. Thanks for the help!

Please install from webUI. Go in IP/Dev enable plugin test mode. Then install the plugin from audio interface category.
