Could not set component type slot

I get a "Could not set component type slot" error whenever I add a SPDT switch. After I add the switch I get the error on almost every component or text I try to add. I've verified it's the switch because as soon as I remove it the problem ceases. I tried downloading a fresh install and it's the same issue.
