, Just can't seem to get this to work.

I followed the guide, section 4.21.1 onwards.
Couldn't see it communicating in signal k , so I proceeded to blacklist the drivers, in previous section 4.21 .

In signal k stats, I can see gpsd,pyoilot,gpsq etc all with connection activity, but rtl_ais_tcp showing 0.

Anything else I have maybe missed or anything else i could try?

Ok thank you for you time , appreciated.

In signal k, in the connection and plug in status, it says in red,
Reconnect 127.0.0.1 10112 retry 0 delay 0.
Next to that in green, it says
Connected to 127.0.0.1 10112.

It feels as if, whenever you restart signal k, it shows activity for a second, then disappears.

Not sure if there is something wrong with the device, I'm next to vessels which are transponding ais, and no activity showing .

Update, I changed the retry time to 1 instead of 600 in the signal k settings, it now works every second. I can now see AIS vessels.

It's seems to only work for a solid second when refreshed, and waits another 600 seconds and repeats.

Does Anyone know if the RTL ais is supposed to only ping every so often? Or is it supposed to be on all the time?

All ok, I thought I had fixed the problem lol.

Device must be faulty then, I'll return it to Amazon.
And the reorder a new one.

I have the pican m hat, could I buy a dAISy hat, and stack on top of each other? Or an I better just buying another usb type AIS?

Just get dAISy AIS with USB (not hat).
