As in title, there are (probably more then else) people not that techy to get really confused here, I am one of those.
Thanks to the guy commenting on the issue at the bottom. I was just about to leave some feedback RE finding tokens on Safari
" ...because they are likely trying to steal your login token so they can use your ChatGPT instead of their own.
under no circumstance should you be entering a session token ANYWHERE to login to ANYTHING.
the session token allows them to login to your ChatGPT session without the username and password, if it was legit, it would just ask you to login and it would create a new session token which would be tied to their extension.
in this case it looks like your browser was smart enough to realize your interacting with a token that has no user functions, settings or parameters and thus it was blocked and sent the error message "403 Forbidden" which indicates that you are not allowed to modify that token in any way,
if it was modified it will likely revert to the default state which would be to delete the token and make you login to all ChatGPT services again.
to solve the issue, uninstall the extension and install a legit ChatGPT extension.
Ultimately there is no reason to login or enter session tokens, you can just go to the OpenAI website (openai.com) > Login to the website and click the icon in the top right, select "view API Keys" and then create a new API key, the API key can then be put into the extension and if you want to stop the extension from having access to your ChatGPT you can just delete the API key and make a new one from ChatGPT's website.
maybe im wrong but i have never EVER had to use a login session token from a web browser to use an extension or application and i have been using/interacting computers for 25+ years."
Time indeed an amateur new thank you for pointing that out for me I will be more careful from now on. Once again thank you comrade is there any way I can show my appreciation do I like give reputation points or something I really am being serious I don't know much about Github and and maybe I shouldn't be pulling stunts like I tried without further research but but I've been reading all my life and lately it's just become a little tedious I love the reading ever since I was a kid I guess I finally burned myself out on it haha. I know that sounds like the stupidest thing ever but I tend to just do things now instead of read about them which is not always good thank you once again comrade
