I see task panel being opened, new task appears there, but I don't see any error nor any success message, I don't know where to get cropped file, tried to find something in the same folder, where original file is stored, but no luck.

Do you see the red background in the task row? This would indicate an error. See for example these screenshots - I provoked an error trying to save output file to a read only directory. Note you have to scroll far to the right to see the error message.
Please also note that by default output file is indeed saved in the same directory as input file, with name following the pattern {FileDate}-{FileNameWithoutExtension}.{Timestamp}{FileExtension}
I have noticed that it does not appear to work with .TS files when cutting segments, it will produce a file and say it is done but the file will be 0 bytes. I did the same thing with an .mkv and it worked well without issues.
Also the previous frame button is not the best as it often does not work well. I have noticed that the preview window will not reflect the changes that is happening on the timeline but then it will leap back if you press the button again and allow you to work with previous frames again.
I have also noticed that the default location is the videos folder as opposed to the same folder the input file came from which is a bit frustrating considering that you cannot even open the folder via the tasks menu but otherwise this software is pretty great when it works and is by definition simple to use but it just needs a few refinements.
