Cursor ambiguity with todo checkbox

The cursor shows as being to the left of a todo checkbox when the cursor focus is left or right of the box. This happens whether there is text to the right of the box or not. I'm using version 2.1.6-rc2

I know :(
its not very nice, but basically it works. just ignore the cursor after you inserted the "TODO"
after you already entered the text, it looks quite OK

I think its caused by very old html editor nixnote is using (deprecated)... but changing it is far from easy
