There are a few improvements that could be made to the dev build:

Dev builds could be using the bloated tailwind copy rather than running the slow compilation.
Lots of images and other assets are rebuilt when they don't need to be.
It would be nice if there was automatic rebuilds using nodemon.

Also, it would be great if github pages were rebuilt on each commit pushed to github.
