Herd reduced my local memory usage compared to XAMPP

I was using XAMPP before and my application would show a memory consumption of 26 MB - 28 MB (using Laravel Debugbar). After installing Herd for Windows and switching over, my app now consumes only 4 MB - 5 MB. I feel this is more realistic to actual production values, but would love to hear if you have noticed such an improvement too.
