I know that @rmknightstar (hint hint, help wanted), has worked through how to do this. It would be really nice to make it super simple for folks to add either community or enterprise (should probably not be keyed on if alfresco is community or enterprise) activiti into our projects.
If I remember correctly, Activiti requires an LDAP server. In a previous project framework we had an embedded instance of unboundId installed into Alfresco, that way Alfresco and Workdesk could synchronize against the contents of an .ldif file that was bootstrapped by this embedded LDAP server. It seems like we could make such an amp and push it to Maven Central or artifacts.alfresco.com in order to bring this functionality into our projects...
