QR code to setup CALDAV/CARDDAV resources

I usually install same resources on variety of devices for the whole family. I would be really helpful, if some QR-code could be used to make setup easier (like sharing WLAN access points in Android). Half of this feature request would go to the providers of resources, of course, like nextCloud/ownCloud etc.

Thanks for the idea. I think that should work when DAVx5 would catch URLs like "caldavs://user:password@hostname/". Then this URL could be passed from a QR code scanner. What do you think about that?

Thanks, that could work. Does the davx5 team have connections to e.g. nextcloud to get support there?

You could generate the QR code by yourself – just generate a code for the caldavs:// URL.

Yes, that's what we have in mind at the end. But for this we've to "detach" the account handling from the system for DAVx5. We're on it already, but as said in #53 (comment) this is a very complicated task and it will take another few months. Once we have the necessary database and control directly in DAVx5 a lot of new stuff will be possible to make the life easier for our user base, like this Export/Import settings feature :)
