Compare the two screenshots. It's surprising the heights are different. Font is "Iosevka Aile", if that matters. Let me know how I can help debug.

That's intended, see lines 36 and 37 (or the README's screenshot) https://github.com/bkaestner/secret-mode.el/blob/6358ee1ce6c28e85eadfc96d722a00b776eb76f9/secret-mode.el#L36-L37. The blocks for uppercase letter (Unicode general category Lu, LOWER THREE QUARTERS BLOCK) differ from the lowercase/unspecified ones (LOWER THREE EIGHTHS BLOCK).

I need to a) document that behaviour and b) make it customizable. In the meantime, if you want all blocks to be the same, remove the 'Lu pattern from the pcase macro.
