i tried with boot_a and boot_b
boot_a: flashes and magisk dosent work but it works normal
boot_b:when turning on (with the flash applied) its just the system is now broken

try running this command
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img (use the vbmeta.img file from your firmware)
then flash both boot_a and boot_b with your patched boot image

this is just my personal recommendation, but you should patch your boot image using magisk alpha instead, i found it to be more effective at hiding root, you can get more info here https://github.com/realdtn2/xiaomi-unlocking-rooting-guide (scroll down to rooting and hiding root part, also the init_boot is for newer device, for your device use boot.img)

dont do it early, do it on the exact second it hits 12:00 AM GMT+8
can you uninstall Xiaomi Community, reboot, then install the the latest version of Xiaomi Community through play store and try again tomorrow?
also try enabling Find device in Xiaomi Cloud in the Settings app
remember to change account region in the app to global
i did all that and successfully apply for unlocking
