After restart of Homeassistant detect and recording turns off

I've been having this same issue for both the detect and record toggles for the last few weeks. Quite frustrating.

I checked using MQTT Explorer and found both topics were flagged as retained for some reason.

Frigate 0.13.2 running in Docker (Proxmox LXC) with a Google Coral PCIE passed through.

if you see a retained topic then it should be removed

there are multiple topics for record and detect

frigate/lounge/detect/state

All of the above are retained topics that I removed the retained flag from a few days ago.

that likely means you're either running an old version of frigate or an old version of the integration, since neither of the latest version sets either as retained
