[Config Support]: Masks ignored so lot of unasked Recordings

Describe the problem you are having

In my Garden Setup i have a precise Setup what i wanna analyze and record and which not

but it seems it will be ignored, see

so

• all 10min a new Recording
• 19 alerts
• 0 detections
• 0 motion

i have no clue what i have to adapt in my config, but actually i have 700MB Recordings in Garden which are unneeded :(

Motion masks do not prevent objects from being detected. See this tip.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

in Example of my garden, i mainly wanna be warned when someone came over the marked borders like fence and similar,
all other i dont care, also to mide missrecordings cuase of a sprinkler and similar

You need to use required_zones.

You can also use the UI to configure this under Settings --> Camera Settings.

i tried to adapt the lothering time to 4 seconds by the rest i didnt get you what in camera settings i have to set i see mainly "alert" and "detection" and actually my goal is to block unneeded recordings

Objects that enter any of the required zones you set in Camera Settings can be marked as alerts or detections. For your specific case, just select the zones you are interested in saving recordings for as alerts.

Everything else in your config should be fine for now.
