Chinese documents in .doc and .rtf formats are garbled after opening. #207

Describe the Problem

Pandoc has been installed Garbled characters appear when opening .doc and .rtf Chinese documents.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open bookworm
  2. ctrl +O to open the provided test file.
  3. View the contents of the loaded document.

Expected behavior

Can display document content as in ms word.

If the problem is related to a file, indicate the file you have opened

test.zip

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: [Windows 10 22H2 (x64) build 19045.2251]
  • Bookworm version [2022.1beta3]
  • Recent settings you may have changed in Bookworm [None]

@cary-rowen can you test with the latest version of pandoc? Just replace the one in Bookworm's config with the latest version?

Yes, I test with the latest version, It's not working,
This issue can be reproduce.

If it can be reproduced with Pandoc directly, then we can open an issue against pandoc itself

@cary-rowen I use utf-8 encoding to decode pandoc output. Does Chinese use another encoding?
