Goose for Windows

We want to gauge the community's interest in Windows. Feel free to also comment if you have a specific flavor or config you'd like supported.

A system like this has to work across MacOS, Linux and Windows in order to be maximally accessible. The rate of growth for agentic systems will be exponential which will provide unprecedented leverage. Therefore, we cannot exclude a massive OS user base. I know that the rust-based Tauri framework allows for deployment across the three major desktop OS and mobile.

iOS has too much limitation most likely for such ai agent but I wish they wrote it in Tauri instead of electron because Android support might still be possible - even if it will required some rooting or using some only dedicated Android model that would still be a win. Maybe there would still be possible to release goose for iOS with some limited functionality on AltStore at least for european market.

the GUI is in electron (with rust as well) and can be multi paltform (its not really the tools - more building/testing and what tools are available on windows). @Kvadratni has a working version of windows GUI

questionably working. It launches, but as @michaelneale said - building it into a proper .exe is a bit trickier that running from source.

2. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, Electron supports all platforms. Is the issue related to platform-specific code?

I was able to get it working for a bit on WSL hosting Ubuntu 20.04 but I had to use:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/block/goose/releases/download/stable/download_cli.sh | CANARY=true bash
I also had to manually set the GOOSE_PROVIDER and api key. Goose seemd to only have access to the hosted linux machine, not my windows machine. Not sure how to do that yet or if its a possibility with WSL.

I use windows with wsl2, all my code is on linux ubuntu 2204 as much as i can, though vscode is windows installation, the code is on linux. I prefer bash over powershell ...
