as it works now it seems i have to configure mcp extensions for both cli and desktop - any way to have those shared?

next would be to connect to the same session in cli and desktop. is that available somehow?

configuration is shared across both desktop and cli. configs are stored in ~/.config/goose/config.yaml

ok, but when I add tools via goose configure cli the new tools don't show up in the desktop...hence why it to me feels like the config is not shared?

no, this is not supported but certainly a good idea

the config ~/.config/goose/config.yaml today is not fully shared between CLI and GUI (the app uses local storage now). we are actively working on using the same config for both. the sessions will take some more time - it's on the roadmap.
