add linux compatibility, including the ability to set the output device from oss to 'something else'

added '-o' option, default to 'pulseaudio' for Linux, 'oss' for FreeBSD.

Simple test on Linux, works ok with pulseaudio. performance problems noted on "that particular box" due to its slow CPU and lack of multi-core. Otherwise, should be good to go.
