Historically, Boost.GIL used the boost and boost-users mailing lists as well as its own boost-gil mailing list to post questions and discussions about the library.
We decided to open the GitHub Discussions as an alternative place to connect with other members of our community who may prefer this form of communication.

We hope that you:

• Ask questions you’re wondering about.
• Share ideas.
• Engage with other community members.
• Welcome others and are open-minded. Remember that this is a community we build together 💪.

We will also use the Discussions for important announcements about what happens in the Boost.GIL.
