Version 3.0 (in branch "deprecations") is the future version, compatible with the future version 3 of GIMP.
Version 2.0 is a complete rewrite and is multithreaded. Otherwise, functionally the same except when compiled threaded it is nondeterministic.
Version 1.0 Lloyd Konneker assumed maintenance, fixed a few bugs, improved its handling of transparency, and added directional filling.
Version 0.16 was written by the original author, Paul Harrison.
