Is there a way to run a window transparent by default with elements of it visible? Let's say background is transparent but images are visible? Thanks.

It is would be possible to make it a feature in thrust in cocoa on mac os x, but it wouldn't be possible AFAIK on windows and linux.

If this would be available on mac OS X that would be very useful.
