Same issue, but in 1.5.1, this plugin causes other parts of NodeBB to become non-functional. Can't click on "New Topic" for example, to start a new topic anywhere.

It is intermittent in nodebb 1.5.3. There is a conflict of some sort with default composer I assume. I could get it work by resetting the plugin from command line, restarting mongodb and re-activating/deactivating the plugin until ultimately loads without freezing but it is problematic when posting the topic. As the author mentioned it serves as a model to develop your own. However even after eliminating all category based form customization, the freezing problem re-appears every time the templates are rebuilt. I will post update if I found the source of conflict.
