Describe the bug

$ multipass launch
launch failed: cannot connect to the multipass socket

To Reproduce
How, and what happened?

  1. multipass launch (or any command which interacts with the daemon)
  2. Always fails with launch failed: cannot connect to the multipass socket

Expected behavior
That Multipass just works. I've just installed Multipass with sudo snap install multipass, as per the instructions.

Additional context
Having looked into this a bit further, it appears that the VPS is running systemd-resolved.
However, there appears to be no documentation on how to run these side-by-side or disable systemd-resolved for that interface.

Surely using Multipass with Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS is a supported configuration?
