Growth 101 with Wind & Creative Strategist C Brennan Poole

Growth. More so even, potential reach, awareness, and the opportunity to share the message your organization carries, is all-to-often an area that eludes far too many startups.

A FEW TIPS

  1. Be prepared!

Do not make the colossal mistake that is : attaining and capturing (if even only the potential for ) growth without having been wholly prepared to capture and convert off the opportunities that will be provided to you and your team.

REPEAT! BE PREPARED!

  1. Shameless Self - promotion.

Of course, don't be too salty. Or obnoxious. But, if you truly believe in what it is you are doing. Get out there and scream your story; most especially your Mission, Vision, and Core Values from the Mountain Tops. And if you don't have a mountain top...

  1. Leverage existing platforms.

Develop a strategy. Fall in-line with the iterative unashamed and willing-to-fail as practiced by the greats. You know the one's : Google, with Wind, etc.

  1. LinkedIn and Crunchbase

Should become your 'best good friends'. Leverage the sites (in a opposite manner) to build growth off one another.

i.e. share your crunchbase profile as you connect with new contacts while being sure to update your LinkedIn bio - at minimum twice monthly (with Wind calls this 'API Tickling')

Profile proficiency and creative writing are two skills you will learn quick you must attain. Unless, you're just a natural influencer with a knack for community development (which some most definitely are).

Also, be sure to always be working on your personal, professional, and business brands. Building the base of your company profile page as well as your more 'intimate' connections on the 'professional space'.

New Venture Management is a 24/7/365 and 1/4 non-stop Growth-Hack-Attack'; if it is anything at all, right?

God Speed,
