A breakout session is useful to increase the awareness of an active enhancement proposal, or other topic, that would benefit from a wider audience, or where the debate has perhaps stalled with text-only communication.
As the meeting is quite short, the breakout sessions will have to be parallelized, but on the last day of the workshop (23rd September 2021) the progress of each breakout session will be very briefly summarized in a plenary session.
Each breakout session can last for up to 90 minutes, which should comprise a short (<15 minutes) summary of the issue and what the outstanding questions are, followed by an open discussion to try to resolve the questions, or at least progress the discussion so that it can carry on more fruitfully after the meeting.
If you would like to volunteer to "champion" an issue at the meeting, by presenting it and leading the subsequent discussion as described above, then please let us know by replying on this issue.
If you have already told us about a breakout session that you would like to occur (for which many thanks) then please do make a note of it on this issue as well, to help us keep track of the suggestions.
Below is a list of the most recently opened enhancement proposals, in which we have included the initial proposer and assignees, not to limit the invitation to them, but simply to increase the visibility of this request. This selection is given here for convenience and is by no means exhaustive - any open issue at https://github.com/cf-convention/cf-conventions/issues may be put forward.
In addition, other topics that are not represented by open GitHub issues are equally welcome.

Dear CF community,
We would like to invite suggestions for breakout discussion sessions to include in the CF on-line workshop 21-23 September 2021.
