Toggle groups of lights #330

Hi @Mithrox, my plugin only offers entities and services that are available in home-assistant. It does not implement things like "turn something on" or "special group handling" at all. The good news: It should work out of the box if everything ist configured correctly in your home-assistant. Lights must be lights and light-groups must/can only contain lights. The problem in your case seems to be, that the group is not a light-group and thus is not offering the light specific services. I just created a light-group (via Helpers->Group->Light) and it works as expected: I hope this already helps :) |

Hi, You are absolutely correct, there is a difference when you create the group as a helper or the group as just a group through .yaml config. I am sure there is a config parameter you can set in yaml too to make sure it's read as a light, but since it worked as it should with your method I am very happy. I will remove the yaml created group and stick with the helper creation, and that should sove my Stream Deck issue. Thank you for your quick response and help, I really appreciate it. |

Hi,
If this is possible already, please excuse my ignorance, I have not been able to find this.
I have several groups of lights in the house, and I want to toggle those with my Stream Deck. As I have seen mentioned other place there is no option for Toggle when you choose a group, and so I wanted to ask if this would be something that can be implemented.
I know there is already another post on it, but I cannot understand how it resolved what was asked. If you choose group (on the keypad actions) you get Reload, Remove and Set on options, and with Set you can put in JSON service data. I am however not clear on if it's possible to choose the group in the JSON data and then get it to toggle?
If you choose Light and then Toggle, the group does not show up as it's not a "light" per definition. My group is setup through groups.yaml, I am unaware if there is a option to make it a light group and not a "regular" group?
I am at a loss on how to control this through Stream Deck, and I hope it can either be implemented as a feature, or if I am missing the knowledge on how to do it, feel free to share.
Thank you.
