I'm proposing radiation, similar to acid and lava..

It would be yellow (uranium oxide is yellow) with a corresponding barrel of "nuclear waste". The nuke should leave behind a lot of it randomly.

This will add flavor that this place is dangerous.

I'm trying to keep to stuff that is represented on the OG spritesheets. 0.9.9.9 will already add mud and blood to fluid types, both with fairly unique effects (slow and player-only plasma damage). Doom games seem to completely ignore radioactiveness anyway - but I do feature it prominently in AliensRL :P.

I'm arguing that radiation will give it a more sinister tone.

As for the sprites, i was thinking just use acid/lava sprites tinted yellow.

Yea i see you stuffed already the upcoming release.
