Possibility to add navigation, eg. scroll, zoom on charts

Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever had the need of representing complex and dense data structures on ChartJs, in a way that would make it convenient for such charts to be navigated with zoom and scroll actions.
The zoom functionality would need to reduce the visible data points and change the Axises accordingly as well as dimension and tickness of represented data, while the scroll would need to preserve the visibility of extra Y axises.

I would be also curios to know if you feel this kind of behaviour could be implementable with the current plugin API in case no one else already did anything on the topic.
