Polygon shading within scatter chart type?

Hello,

Liking ChartJS so far as I've been able to utilise it for a few different applications I'm working on. I'm currently curious about a niche requirement I may need to satisfy for my charts. Is there a Plugin or method that would allow me to create a shaded region on my scatter charts (where the yellow line is located).

This region would most likely be it's own dataset or at the very least an array of points. The closest option I've seen is the annotation plugin but that doesn't allow me to send through custom polygons, only the amount of sides. I know there is an option for line charts but my requirements can't utilities line chart types.
