This is a low priority nice-to-have

I am using this at the moment in knife-vsphere

https://github.com/chef-partners/knife-vsphere/blob/master/lib/chef/knife/vsphere_customization_list.rb

this would allow us to encapsulate our domain creds and not pass them on the cli
