indicators to user whats wrong with a form

When someone fills out the form and it still says incomplete, they have no way of knowing what's wrong with the form! Some instructions would be great as to how to complete it properly (word count?). For example, eva didn’t realize she needed a valid http link in the project section. She had written “project link => https://blah” when it only wanted the link. Only after a few trial/errors did she figure out what the problem was.

How about per-question error messages? Validator is checking each one anyway.
