Is this project is still being developed? Is it possible to integrate rclone support to git-fat?

I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect many folks have moved over to git-lfs.

May be, but git-lfs requires server implementation. There is nothing simpler than gitfat and we are heavily depended on it. "rclone" gives the capability of storing objects in any cloud storage. I really don't understand what is so great about git-lfs. The only thing going for it is that it's being pushed heavily by github. Git-lfs is a cumbersome nightmare.

I took a look at the source code. Will implementing the interface is enough to add a new storage?
