Is this still planned? Since the issue is basically empty except for the title, I'm not sure what was the original thoughts.

Given #11, clamsproject/clams-python#159, and clamsproject/mmif-aapbjson-converter#1, once consumer "interfaces" are refactored into ABCs in clams-python, I think we should consider deployment/publication of consumer software as a part of app directory. Of course that won't prevent other deployment (such as PyPI).

This issue was added following a vague statement from somebody at GBH (in response to a vague suggestion from me). There seemed to be some interest in having a command-line invocation just like "clams develop". It is not clear to me whether there is any urgency here, and it would also be very easy to change this consumer so that you can run it in stand-alone mode (python summarize.py some_miff_file).

I think we should consider deployment/publication of consumer software as a part of app directory.

Yes, that sounds reasonable.

Yeah, I was just cleaning up issue boards and trying to link consumer-related issues together while thinking about clamsproject/mmif-aapbjson-converter#1. Nothing urgent.
