Implement Region Feature for Data Management

Summary:
Climsoft will be used by National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) or Regional Climate Centers (RCCs) for data entry and analysis. To support this, database managers may want to delegate tasks based on regions, and data users may want to analyze data specific to certain regions.

Proposal:
Implement a Region feature that allows the grouping of stations by different types of regions. This feature should be flexible enough to accommodate various NMHS or RCC structures and roles.

  • Administrative areas
  • Drainage basins
  • Climate zones
  • Flood zones
• The system should support multiple region types and allow users to define regions as needed.
