Of course it could; it is just software! 😄

Well, we would need to get our CI account approved for repo write access; not sure if this is going to be an issue.

However, for the time being having "releases" is not very useful because we are constantly changing the tool in potentially incompatible ways, so would quickly run out of major version numbers. So I would prefer to postpone this until we have reached more stability again.
