Cas is silent on direct attacks. (Admin note: the pilot was using '4 GMLs, Dragon Breath and Widowmakers. Directs only' )

What's the difference with what should have happened?

It shouldnt be silent and never has been

this is a skill issue, you can hear the missle sound effect and you can also avoid it by not staying under flares
