MSI Installer or Version number in executable

Hello together,

we are installing MeshLab with our software distribution SCCM/MECM and found out, that there is no "basic" way to discover the success of the installation.

It would be nice, if there will be also a MSI installer available in the future or at least some version informations in the meshlab.exe in the installation folder.

For now, what I was doing is, that I check if the meshlab.exe exist in the installation folder to say our software deployment, that the installation was successfull. But I'm running into a problem if we need to update the software.
