I have monorepos I proudly display CodeFactor shields in root, but it'd be sweet (and promotes CF more) if I could add shields to individual project READMEs, but requires scanning just that dir or file and API providing pertinent request params

Your biggest competitor SonarCloud allows this btw. But for code quality I use CodeFactor because you're the only one that goes up to A+ (I suggested this grade scale to Codacy before, but their employees couldn't care less about great UX cuz they're paid too much)

I say this to show you are a leader in the code scanning UX worthy of and have been copied, so nothing wrong with copying SonarCloud's way of doing it
