Unable to switch to integrated

For some reason, I cannot select just the integrated chip - it keeps switching to discrete but literally nothing else is running concurrently.

Issue is on 10.13.6 on a MBP 2011 (the AMD Radeon HD 6750M had crapped out so can't run anything intense on this at the moment or it goes haywire).

Any help please?

Use to happen to me, I had to completely uninstall it, reboot, open nothing and then launch only the app.

I have a separate issue where it keeps kicking over to discrete graphics behind the scenes away from integrated and sometimes my laptop will lock up because it's going back to dedicated. Would be lovely for the app just to keep forcing "integrated" by itself in the background just to make sure!
