Description

Many of the FAQ questions we have right now go like "What is XXX?", which begs for a definition. If feels like we could just have a section covering common terms in the conda ecosystem, aka a glossary, aka a condactionary.

I while ago I put together this website to annotate packaging terms as I onboarded this field: https://jaimergp.github.io/scientific-packaging-glossary/. It might be useful to recover that.

Tasks

Find a nice way of rendering a glossary in Docusaurus. Ideally out of static data like YAML or JSON.
Port the scientific packaging glossary over, recategorizing as required.
Publish!

Hey, There, @jaimergp Could I take on this research and revamp task?

Just a few clarifying questions on this tho -

Should It be ideally on a different page on the conda website? or on the same page as the FAQ (As learn tab currently redirects to FAQ)
on the 2nd task, "Port the scientific packaging glossary over, recategorizing as required", Could you please elaborate on this point a bit? Could you give a sample sample example for this where recategorization maybe required, for me to get a better context of it
