Currently, Conductor OSS uses Elastic Search for its indexing. Adding a new persistence medium would allow better support for the different platforms. The differences between OpenSearch and ElasticSearch are minimal and the addition of OS as a decoupled os-persistence package would allow developers to easily switch for their desired persistence support.
