I welcome you to the discussions for formalizing a potential future candidate of a terminal image protocol. The initial work is heavily based on the proposal by Egmont Koblinger at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/terminal-wg/specifications/-/issues/26

This repository serves as the formalization of this proposal in the best hopes of finding enough feedback and support by other virtual terminal emulator developers, multiplexers (Jexer, tmux, screen, ...) and TUI client application deveopers.
