The proposed JSON-schema for storing CRediT translations (see)[https://github.com/contributorshipcollaboration/credit-translation/blob/main/credit_translation_schema.json] is quite verbose.
We decided to add the role names and their descriptions to the schema as mandatory fields in addition to the PIDs provided by NISO. The reason for this is to provide useful validation error messages and to ensure that each translation file is understandable and usable without additional infrastructure.
We are interested in the community's feedback on the current schema. Please add any suggestions, questions, or possible problems to this issue.
