The two most active collaborators on this project including myself and @landonreed have moved on to new jobs. Therefore, we will not be working much more on this project. Please fork as needed. If there becomes an actively-maintained fork elsewhere, I will make a fix release to update the README pointing to the forked project.

Hey, just wanted to mention that we wrote a very simplistic version of this plugin that was inspired by this one:
https://github.com/terrestris/maven-semantic-release

It builds the project (supports jib image builds), bumps the version in the pom.xml and has an option to set a new snapshot version after releasing.
