Aim is to lower the barrier to entry for devs and users, to make the project accessible and understandable.

This will be achieved via documentation, tooling and cleaning up the schema/api. We should try to look at the project from the eyes of a new comer.

The "release" is a target to achieve the first iteration of this by December 2020.

We need to come up with achievable targets for this release. Initial ideas:

  • Documentation:
    • what should be included?
    • do we have time to document the whole schema?
    • who can do the documenting? what is their availability?
  • Schema
    • could do with some cleaning up
    • consistent naming conventions

Meta note: should this task be here? Not in a different repo or in notion?

Schema clean up may have to wait until the pipeline is finished. So current plan for this release is:

Next release we'll aim for documentation improvements and schema clean up. I think at that point we should be confident of releasing the project to a wider audience (even if we want to keep it in a "beta" status), as well as promoting the API etc
