Summary

We intend to implement a fee structure within CoW Protocol, strategically targeting orders where our platform holds a significant advantage over competitors.

This project provides a step-by-step guide for the setup and execution of fees, primarily focusing on surplus-based fees for specific order types.

During the first phase of the project, we will specifically target Limit Orders, which include variations such as Limit, TWAP, and Partial Fills.

Justification

Our primary focus will be on out-of-market limit orders. These are orders where the indicated price is not equal to the prevailing market price, and they cannot be immediately executed due to the existing market conditions. This targeted approach will allow us to optimize the fee structure effectively while enhancing user experience and ensuring transparency in our fee collection process.
