What happened?

Description

Im trying to upgrade to Craft 5 from 4.13.3 and when running craft up the project config sync fails with error:

error: No entry types exist for section ID_HERE

  • Its worth noting that the first few sections are OK but it doesnt seem to like one in particular.
  • I've tried with and without rebuilding the config before the upgrade
  • I've checked the section/entry type in the admin panel prior to upgrade and all seems to be well
  • The section is of type single

Oh I should add that, a while back on earlier versions i ran through the upgrade (separate db/branch) and it worked ok. Not sure if something has changed in the latest versions of 4.x or 5.x?

Started from scratch and forced an older version of Craft (5.4.10.1) which seems to have worked. Not exactly sure if something in my environment changed or if that fixed it...

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Any chance you could send your database export from before the upgrade and composer.json, composer.lock and config/project folder with the v5 upgrade to [email protected] so we can try to reproduce and dig deeper?
