This is great, but most often you need to configure these masks at runtime. Is there a way to expose this feature via an ioctl?

Is there a way to configure the CNF2 or CNF3 register of the MCP2515? This can be done via SPI-communication - but which is not possible when the chip was already initialized using dtoverlay parameters, as far as I understand. The /dev/spi0 is just gone then, like it was reserved already. Loading the kernel-module or not doesn't make any difference.
