We updated destination clusters to v1.30 while this provider-kubernetes remained at v0.9.0 (with the k8s.io/client-go remaining at 1.26.x) so the provider stopped being able to connect to the destination clusters.
How could Crossplane help solve your problem?
It would be good to have a compatibility matrix in the readme with the released versions and what target kubernetes versions they can connect to. This would make it so that we don't have to dig through the go.mod on each release to see what version we need to have, or what version we can support up to if this provider doesn't get updated in due time.
